Nature is the best designer
.
Nature has been a perennial source of inspiration for many! Artists, architects, designers imitate the design patterns of nature; poets describe its beauty and scientists try to unravel the mysteries of nature. A deep look into nature unlocks imagination, and inspires creativity.
Nature paints the most wonderful pictures that can take your breath away and engulf you in their majestic beauty.
One can not stop marveling at the designs of nature. The spiral of sea- shells, the swirl of rose petals, and the arrangement of sunflower seeds, air vortex created by the flapping of wings of insects, the galaxy spirals and even the eye of a hurricane follow a geometrical pattern that is represented by the Fibonacci series.
Here is a collection of quotes that highlight the connection between nature and creativity and the creative inspiration that you can draw from Nature.
What is Art, monsieur, but Nature concentrated? ~ Honore de Balzac
There is no better designer than nature. ~ Alexander McQueen
Some of nature’s most exquisite handiwork is on a miniature scale, as anyone knows who has applied a magnifying glass to a snowflake. ~ Rachel Carson
It is the marriage of the soul with Nature that makes the intellect fruitful, and gives birth to imagination. ~ Henry David Thoreau
Nature is a powerful teacher
.
Nature teaches us many valuable lessons of life. As we discover our connection with nature, it renews our senses, rejuvenates and revitalizes us. Nature never hurries and yet it accomplishes everything.
Through its repeated patterns, nature reminds us of the things that remain constant over time, while also teaching us to be optimistic and to remain open to the unknown.
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. ~ Albert Einstein
I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order. ~ John Burroughs
In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks. ~ John Muir
Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. ~ Lao Tzu
There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature – the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after the winter. ~ Rachel Carson
Trees are the Earth’s endless effort to speak to the listening heaven. ~ Rabindranath Tagore

Hi Somali,
Completely agree with you Nature is best designer and most importantly it is best teacher as it teaches us to give others without expecting anything. So it is our responsibility to respect Nature.

In your post you have beautifully explained how Nature inspires creativity with. colourful images.
In this context , a free translation of a poem by Rabindrananth Tagore attempted by me is reproduced below .
.
The branches had no flowers last night
This morning they are in full bloom .
Oh Gardener ! Do tell me
How did this miracle come about .
They come and go through the tree.
Where do they hide their faces .
Where is their sweet little home .
And how far is their land .
They hide in the corner of their home
With ears close to the ground .
The air calls them forth.
How do they hear their tunes.
There is no more time to lose .
They hastily wash their faces .
They dress themselves in many colours
And leave their home behind .
Is their beloved home
Close to the sweet earth.
Dada tells he knows for sure
Their home is in the sky .
In that remote realm floats
Clouds of various hues.
Where the light comes, comes air
Opening the secret door .

Well said and beautifully portrayed. I am a nature lover and at last we are seeing the fruits of the forests of the world being used to enhance the lives of mankind. I pray that we will work together with nature instead of against her, as in the greedy palm oil plantations of Indonesia, and I say her because it is the intuitive imagination of the feminine which sings to me in my garden and every step I take on her holy ground and every breath I take of her precious air which I am blessed to find pure on the edge of one of the most beautiful moors in the world. Love, David PS I follow you in anticipation Somali?
